Hotel Ceilidh-Donia Edinburgh

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel located close to a golf club and just a short distance from the city center. The room was comfortable and quiet, with hot water available instantly. The owners were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of tasty options to choose from. The location was convenient, allowing us to easily explore the area on foot. a fantastic experience.

The decor in some areas was not to my personal taste, but it was a minor issue.

Excellent hosts, helpful and accommodating, offering change for buses. High standard facilities, plentiful cooked breakfast and option for packed breakfast. Couldn't fault anything, highly recommended for anyone visiting.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with bus stops nearby providing easy access to the city center. Guests mentioned that it is near everything central and in fabulous pubs. The rooms were clean and bright, providing a perfect environment for studying. The hosts were incredibly helpful, allowing guests to stay in the lobby to study even after check-out. The breakfast was also highly praised, with delicious cooked options made to order.

Some guests mentioned feeling a bit cold near the large bow window and in the bedroom at times.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. the price was incredibly reasonable for what you get in terms of quality and comfort. The attention to detail in the rooms was remarkable, with tasteful decorations and all the amenities one could ask for. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. I also appreciated the addition of two cozy chairs, perfect for relaxing and unwinding while watching TV.

All in all, my experience at this hotel was exceptional and I genuinely struggled to find any faults.

The warm welcome we received upon arrival at Ceilidh-Donia made us feel right at home. The owners, Suzan and Kevin, were really good too make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was excellent, with a huge bed and a great shower. The Scottish breakfast choices were delicious, and we even had a chance to try some Scottish whisky in the lobby. The location of the hotel was perfect, close enough to walk to the city centre or take a quick and cheap bus ride. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby pubs, especially The Old Bell. I highly recommend Ceilidh-Donia for its good owners, excellent amenities, and convenient location.

Parking was a bit of a challenge as the surrounding streets were busy. The signage for the hotel could be improved, as it was difficult to spot from the street.

Excellent hospitality, spacious room on the ground floor with baby cot, daily room cleaning, provided water and biscuits, good breakfast with baby chair.

The hotel is located in a nice quiet area within easy reach of downtown Edinburgh. It's situated in a residential area, making for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The rooms are comfortably sized with a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. Additionally, the breakfast options cater to all tastes and include delicious local options.

All in all, this hotel provided a great stay and we have no complaints.

During my recent stay at Hotel Ceilidh-Donia, I had a wonderful experience. The breakfast options were varied and delicious, with a full Scottish breakfast being my favorite. The room I stayed in had a fantastic view of Arthur's Seat, and it was spacious, clean, and equipped with a comfortable bed and a newly renovated bathroom. The location was great, with a bus stop just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. The owner, Kevin, was helpful and were very good too assist with any requests. I would highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Edinburgh. I was thoroughly impressed and would definitely choose to stay here again.
